Day 2: Discussion

Post a comment here after day two of the film.  What do you think so far?  Did you notice anything particularly interesting or awful today?

  1. I noticed during day 2 that this movie is a very different type of humor. It is more based around pointing out the flaws in different groups of society such as the "well educated" new yorker. So far this movie is a bit hard to follow in regards to the comedy, but when you do catch a joke you get a good laugh.

I enjoy watching the film for many resons.I think the jokes are funny and they make you keep on waiting for more. I think the director wanted this to happen and it makes the film more intriguing. On day 2 i dont think things have changed much as this also happened during day 1 of the film.

  3. Day two gives you a different feel of the characters. On day one we are introduced to Alvy and his wife as incompatible couple. Day two we get a feel of how their relationship was in the beginning. It's awful the changes you see in Alvy's wife. She use to be so easy going and fun and to please Alvy she begins seeing an analyst. I find it interesting that they became a couple because their vales and morals are the complete opposite. The film continues to be very entertaining and funny. It sucks that it is coming to an end so soon. I'm really enjoying it.

  5. I thought day two of the movie was just as good as day one. I really enjoy how there might be a scene going on and then alvy just starts talking to the audience it's something that I haven't noticed in other movies. I also couldn't stop laughing at the scene where Annie calls him over because of the spider in her bath tub and he goes in and like pretends like he killed it but he really just throws everything and runs out.

  7. The second day of the film was just as funny as the first day, I really like how he meets Annie's family and there's that awkwardness mainly because Annie's grammy is a "jew hater". Also i've realized that Alvy is so insecure of himself that he uses sex to make him feel powerful or to make him feel better about himself because quite frankly he is a very awkward person that's afraid of emotion and a lot of other things like that "big spider".
